TIME VARYING JET FIRE CASE



To model Time Varying Jet Fire, we calculate the release rate at the cumulative time of interest taking into consideration Isolation and Blowdown system successful or failure mode, then we set up a standalone Jet Fire simulation in DNV GL PHAST Software for each failure mode case. Jet Fire radiation flux and Jet Flame coordinate dimensions are exported from Phast and further process in our Consequence and Risk Application for generation of 3D visualization. Event tree methodology is utilized to calculate Jet Fire Frequency and Jet Fire frequency contours in 3D are generated in our Consequence and Risk Application.




TIME VARYING RELEASE RATE



Time varying release rate at the cumulative exposure time of interest is calculated in DNV GL PHAST Software. The failure mode (successful or fail) of the Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) and Blowdown System (BD) is considered in the release rate for each failure mode case.

JET FIRE MODELING



Standalone Jet Fire for each failure mode case at the required exposure time of interest is set up in DNV GL PHAST Software. Jet Fire footprint and side view Flux as well as Jef Fire Flame shape coordinates dimensions are exported from PHAST, then, these results are further process in our 3D Consequence and Risk Modeling Application for visualization in 3D cad format.

The Jet Fire frequency failure mode case is determined by event tree methodology. Event leak frequency, weather class/wind probability, immediate ignition probability as well as fire detector coverage, fire detector availability and ESD and Blowdown system availability are considered when determining Jet fire frequency.
